Residents Bothered By Extended Wait Times at Tax Assessor’s Office
Maverick County residents have expressed their discontent with the prolonged wait times encountered at the Tax Assessor’s Office, urging the implementation of measures to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
An anonymous resident shared their experience of waiting outside the office for nearly three hours to handle personal business. Attempts to speak with Tax Assessor Asalia Casares proved fruitless, as the resident was informed of her unavailability. Further inquiries revealed that Ms. Casares rarely maintains a regular presence at the office.
The resident expressed grave concerns about the extended wait times and the difficulty in accessing the Tax Assessor. They believe this issue demands immediate attention.
“It’s beyond belief that I had to wait outside for three hours just to take care of some paperwork,” the resident remarked. “This is unacceptable. The Tax Assessor’s Office needs to address this situation promptly.”
